Some Addictive Quilting and Some Yummy Stashing

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the great feedback on my last post. I've got a couple of new followers! Welcome, you guys, and I would love to reply to your comments, but you're showing up as no-reply commenters. Thanks for your support anyway!

Well, I've been back at the sewing machine again. This little baby quilt is addictive and the pattern is so easy. I'm pretty sure if I could, I would have been able to finish this whole thing up in a few hours. But with a little boy running around and only giving me a few minutes of peace at a time, I can only do this in fits and starts.

You can see my last progress update here, and this is my latest progress:

I've sewed together the final strips for the sides, top and bottom. It took a while to position them in a way that made sense (trying to distribute the colors and patterns evenly). What I really like about this quilt pattern is that it uses up every single piece of this charm pack. No scraps left over! Very satisfying to my OCD brain.

Now I need to sew those strips to the inner piece, and then I need to measure out one last round of white borders. So much fun!

I also got some really yummy mail recently:

I bought some fabric - the Plum Street Samplers patterns I've had for a year now. I couldn't decide what color would suit better, so I bought two each of 32 count of Belfast linen in Flax and Light Mocha. But it's a decision for another day! I've got so many WIPs right now, but it's nice to know that these babies are kitted up and ready to go if I ever get the urge to start them!

I got some GAST floss in Oatmeal to finish off one of my WIPs, and I really couldn't resist because I've been coveting this chart for ages - Lizze Kate's Promise Me! So lovely, and I think it's such a great message for little ones.

All right, that's enough blabbing from me! Off to bed, I think.

Lots of love,

The quilt top is looking fantastic Sarah. Your cross stitch stash is wonderful. The LK chart is great. Makes me think of Winnie the Pooh. Always. :)

The quilt is coming on a treat! Your Plum Street Sampler charts are lovely. I don't think I've seen a chart of Paula's that I haven't liked!

Hi Sarah! I'm a new follower and fear that maybe I'm a no reply does that happen? What am I doing wrong? I really like the new patterns you chose to stitch. I'm a big fan of Plum Street Samplers. We have a new post up at our brand new blog called stitching friends forever 2. Would love if you could come by for a visit. RJ

Lovely choices and nice job on the quilt arranging the colours, it looks very well dispersed. I just got DD down for her nap and need the break! :)
