Kindness Sheep Update 6

Hey there! I hope you're all having a wonderful week. Weather here's getting hot and humid already - summer is officially here! That's unfortunately the weather in Dubai: we get a tiny, pathetic winter (which is honestly more like everyone else's spring) and then it's straight back into the belly of the beast.

I suppose you could say I'm used to it, but I'm upset for my son. No more afternoon walks, no more weekends at the park. Soon it'll be too humid to go to the beach! I'm trying to find some indoor activities and baby groups to join so that at least he'll move around and socialize with other babies. Hopefully we can find a good one!

All right, well, I've been stitching away on the Little Sheep Virtues SAL, working on the Kindness sheep. Here was my progress last week, at 1000 stitches:

And this week, at 1100 stitches:

Since my last update post, I've finished stitching the pumpkins and just focused on getting as much done on the border as I could. I question the color choice on this border - the addition of the dark brown in the middle overwhelms the orange and green, I think, but I'm going with it anyway. I don't have the brain space right now to change it!

I'm trying to decide what color to use for the sheep, cause I'll be stitching them pretty soon. Should I go for two white? Two black? Two brown? One white and one black? One white and one brown? What do you guys think?

Happy xxx's!

Water Baby Quilt is Growing!

Super, super, super quick update here! The Little One is going through a very annoying sleep regression, which means I'm not getting much sleep and it takes me forever to get anything done during the day.

I've gotten a little more done on his baby quilt (my last update is here). The deadline I've set myself is his 2nd birthday in December, so I've given myself plenty of time.

I've sewn the next layer of the Come Dive with Me charm pack and another round of the white inner border. This is so much fun to work on! The fabric is so perfect for the Little One too - he's such a water baby and he absolutely loves swimming.

That's it! Told you it was a quick update. It's already 10:45 pm and I'm completely exhausted. I'll try to have more to share next week.

Big hugs,

The April Gifted Gorgeousness SAL

Hey folks! I hope you're all doing wonderfully! Life has been pretty busy around here, but it's been a good busy. And now it's time for the April Gifted Gorgeousness SAL check-in! This is the brain-child of Jo from Serendipitous Stitching. We stitch on something that's been gifted to us through exchanges or giveaways, whether a pattern, kit, fabric, floss, whatever, and post on the 15th of the month.

A couple of months ago I started Let it Snow, from Hands On Design. This was a gift from Emma of Emma's Bloglet during our last exchange. Here's my progress this month:

It's finished! Well, not final-finished, but stitching-finished. I actually have no idea how I'm going to final-finish it, so it goes in the drawer with the rest of the UFOs, I guess!

I don't know if I've finally managed to get a decent picture of the color variations in that floss, but I've basically given up. No matter what kind of light I take pictures in, they always look the same on screen. Oh well!

Lots of love,

Kindness Sheep Update 5

Hi everyone! Just a quick update post today. I've been keeping up with the Little Sheep Virtues SAL, and I've got a little progress to share on Kindness. Here was last week's stitching:

And this week's:

I've gotten a lot done on the border since my last update, finished the trio of orange hearts, and nearly finished the pumpkins. Pretty good, right? I see the light at the tunnel, folks!

Lots of love,
